A few month ago: “Hi Gerard. As you know we going to have a big “commitment” party on the 18 December 2024.
We would like you to be the Photographer if you dont mind. Payment will be in the form of wine” (!)
Let’s be honest.
It was a pleasure (and it was Wine with a capital W).
But it was also just an old fashioned love song, the commitment of Lindi and Kobus.

Radio Kalahari Orkes zelf zegt: “No dorp they have visited will ever be the same again”, dus Durbanville will never be the same again. Die Boer Teater staat borg voor een geweldige sfeer. Een hapje, een drankje en lekkere muziek.

Hey Man, You never Know

Lazy Sunday afternoon? Niet echt! Zondag 16 januari speelde de Georgetown Folk Pop Band op een fantastische openlucht locatie, @ Sir Thomas Brewing Co. in Stellenbosch.
“If you love world-class craft beer and woodfired pizzas, make Sir Thomas Brewing Co your next destination, Sir Thomas makes real beer the natural way.
Genuine. With love.”

Er was volop zon, drank (natuurlijk ook bier) en heerlijk eten terwijl de band werkelijk helemaal los ging. De tuin was uitverkocht. De Georgetown Golden boys speelden de swingende muziek van hun cd’s ‘Banana Jack’ en ‘the Dog Show’. Georgetown noemt zich een multi-instrumentale Blue Billy Folk Pop band en is afkomstig uit Pretoria in Zuid Afrika. Sinds februari 2014, spelen de getalenteerde mr. Sax, Michael de Villiers, Renaldo van Dyk, Rynier Prins and Tiaan Erasmus in de band.
